Belmont Forum 2017 Asian Information Day

The event will discuss scientific priorities in the Asia-Pacific Region and opportunities for partnership to address areas of common interest in the region.

The Belmont Forum is a global science funding partnership that includes many scientific ministries and funding agencies from Asia-Pacific and around the globe. The Forum works collaboratively to support research that integrates natural sciences, social sciences, and stakeholder knowledge to understand, mitigate, and adapt to global environmental change. It is a Governing Council member for the Future Earth.

The organizer of the event, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Taiwan Belmont Forum Program Office, says on its website:

We are pleased to inform you that an Information day “The Belmont Forum: 2017 Asia-Pacific Information Day” will be held in Taipei on 27-28 October 2017. Please visit our Asia-Pacific Regional Info Day event page for preliminary program and event context.

The Information Day aims to put into practice one of the core missions of the Belmont Forum: identifying and scoping with stakeholders and communities concerned priorities for solutions-oriented environmental change research. With your participation, the Information Day will explore how to increase the impact of such research, how to create further links and synergy with international scientific cooperation and with development cooperation in order to increase visibility of the Belmont Forum in the Asia-Pacific region through multi-sector engagement and communication of added value.
